Eduardo Cassapia

De La Paz, Bolivia, Eduardo estudió música tradicional andina en el "Conservatorio Los Andes" y oboe clásico en el "Conservatorio Nacional de Música". Se convirtió en un artista internacional después de estudiar oboe con instructores notables en Ulm y en Freiburgo, Alemania. 

La Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Bolivia lo recibió en casa desde Europa como oboísta y activista de los derechos del artista, por lo cual fue condecorado con la “Medalla al Mérito Cultural” otorgado por la Asamblea Legislativa del gobierno Plurinacional de Bolivia en 2013.

Con residencia en Austin Texas, Eduardo disfruta estar a la vanguardia de nuevos proyectos musicales como interprete, compositor y arreglista, promoviendo la música andina y latinoamericana.

Bolivia y su canción comprometida

Mencionaré  aquí a esos “otros cantores” músicos comprometidos, activistas, gestores, comunicadores, que son hasta ahora una voz importante en todas las protestas sociales, y provienen de distintas partes del territorio boliviano. Su canto comprometido tan diverso como lo es Bolivia va desde la música andina de las tropas de Sicuri, música comunitaria, tocada por campesinos y citadinos, hasta el hip hop contestatario de la ciudad de El Alto de La Paz. En los párrafos siguientes se resume la construcción de un canto contestatario de la realidad Boliviana con identidad, mencionando a los actores más relevantes.
